If you are brand new to affiliate marketing and plan to figure out everything all by yourself, through watching YouTube videos and reading blog posts, It will be a steep learning curve. It sounds quite simple when you hear just choose a product, create a blog, post your link in your blog and drive traffic to your blog/ products.

To be a successful affiliate marketer as a beginner, if you are not: 1. signed up to an affiliate marketing course, to teach you the different tiers of affiliate marketing and how to tie them all together, or 2. Signed up to a done for you affiliate system that has everything already in place, requiring no technical skills that would normally be associated with affiliate marketing, it will most likely take several months, in some cases, years to finally figure it all out to actually start making money.

Figuring out affiliate marking on my own

I remember when I just started out in affiliate marketing, I felt all the free resources were there to help me figure it out but once I got started, it didn’t take me long to realize how hard it was. I did all types of research on YouTube trying to tie it all together, but it only became really tedious because even though there are so many free videos on YouTube, I was not finding all the videos I need to tie it all together.

Landing page, email marketing , handling leads, ads campaign, copyright, and so many things to understand and to figure out how to tie them all together was just confusing! And can I tell you about a lot of these so call “drag and drop” funnel builders, they are hella complicated and far from beginners friendly.

I came into several roadblocks my progress was next to none and I was frustrated. I eventually felt like I failed and I just wanted to give up. This is why I can tell you it is best to join a course, where all the answers you need are in one place, plus you have the support if you ever feel like you need help.

It is always best to learn these skills for yourself because nothing beats knowledge but if you just want to start making money immediately, joining a done for you system is a great move but still signup to a course and know it for yourself because if the done for you system should crash one day (God forbid) you should be able to keep moving forward.
